The Dakar Rally will take place in only one country for the first time in its history next season, with Peru being the sole host nation. The 2019 event will comprise 10 stages with a rest day – all within Peru – starting and ending in the capital city, Lima. It will begin on January 6 and finish on January 17. At least 70% of stages will consist of sand and dunes, which in the history of the Dakar is unique.

A total of 534 athletes from 40 countries with 334 machines will participate in the rally. International Master of Sports U.Byambadelger and U.Byambatsogt will represent Mongolia at the Auto Sports Olympic. They have registered with 413 numbers and will compete in the SxS category.

Team Mongolia has been participating in the motorcycle category of Dakar Rally since 2013.
