The Mongolian National Basketball League consisting of teams from the  21 provinces will be held in January 2019. Four North Korean athletes with their coach will be coming to Mongolia to participate in the competition. In addition, the Mongolian basketball team will conduct joint training in North Korea during the first half of 2019.

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho held a meeting with S.Erdene, president of the Mongolian Basketball Federation to discuss cooperation issues when he visited Ulaanbaatar on 8-9 December.
