According to statistics, the total number of foreign nationals who entered Mongolia increased by 59.2 thousand or 10.46 percent during the first eleven months of 2018.  Among them, the number of tourists increased by 9.8 percent or 49.5 thousand to 501.5 thousand over 2018. This has contributed to the increase tourism sector revenue in Mongolia by USD 140 thousand to USD 523.6 million. The majority of tourists came from China, Russia, South Korea, Japan and the USA.

During the same period of the 2018, over 201 thousand Mongolians travelled abroad.
