Mongolia has been selected as one of the co-organizing countries of the World Army Festival which will be held on 3-17 August, 2019.  According to Ivan Bugaltsov, a lieutenant general of the Russian Army, currently, nearly 10 countries namely; Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhsan, China, Uzbekistan and Mongolia have requested to co-host the festival.

Mongolia will host the horse marathon of the festival. The marathon will be entitled ‘Aravt’ after the smallest army unit of ten soldiers in Chinggis Khaan’s army. Mongolia has sent invitations to 15 countries for the competition.
