A documentary entitled ‘Mongolian Ger’ by director B.Unurtogtokh has won best documentary in the annual International Documentary Festival which was held in South Korea. Artist from more than 130 countries participated in the festival.
‘Mongolian Ger’ is a documentary about nomadic culture and lifestyles. Shooting took place in Khuvsgul province through four sessions. The ‘ger’ (yurt) is the traditional dwelling of the Mongolian people and is quite remarkable: not only can it be dismantled and reassembled somewhere else in the space of a few hours, but by adding additional felt layers, is extremely warm being able to withstand the coldest of winters.
