Mongolia has won silver medal from the IIHF Ice Hockey U20 Challenge Cup of Asia. The competition took place at the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium located outside the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

The Mongolian team was defeated by Thailand 14:1 in the first day, but went on to beat Kuwait by 9:2 and Indonesia by 3:1.

Thailand won gold with nine points following Mongolia with six points and Indonesia with one point.
