Mongolia has been promoting friendly relations with other countries and aiming to establish relations with all the members of the United Nations. Most recently, Ulaanbaatar has established relations with the small southern African nation-kingdom of Eswatini. Better known as Swaziland, the country has several things in common with Mongolia: both are land-locked and are wedged between two neighbours. The signing ceremony was held in New York and attended by the Mongolian and Eswatinian ambassadors to the UN. In future, the two sides have agreed to cooperate and support each other in bilateral relations and international organizations.
Since becoming a fully-fledged member on 27 October 1961, Mongolia has been an active member of the UN participating and contributing in its activities and pursuing its goals.
