A deer, infected by rabies, has attacked a herder family in the Khaliun Soum (rural district) of Mongolia’s Gobi-Altai Province. According to one source, the ‘mad’ deer charged into their yard and storage barn and fought with the family dog.

Veterinarians said, the deer was diagnosed as having rabies. As a result, a  10 km radius area has been quarantined for 14 days and the  vaccination of humans and animals has begun.
