Mongolia’s largest traditional ‘ger’ has been registered in the Guinness World Records as the largest on the planet.
The ger – also known as a yurt – was constructed by the Selnen Company over four months. It has a diameter of 28.81 meters, equivalent to a three-story house and a maximum capacity of 500 people..
The giant ger is now in Khatanbulag soum in the southeastern province of Dornogovi. The ger will be used for advertise Mongolia’s nomadic lifestyle to foreign and domestic tourists.
