Germany offers 55 million euros aid to Mongolia

Germany has offered non-refundable aid worth 55 million euros to support development projects in Mongolia for this year and next.

According to the Mongolian Foreign Ministry, negotiations were held in Ulaanbaatar on 8-9 October under the framework of bilateral technical and financial cooperation in 2018-2019 between the governments of Mongolia and Germany.

The financial assistance for projects will be focused on three priority sectors in Mongolia, namely energy efficiency, sustainable economic development and biodiversity.

Over the past 25 years, Germany has provided a total of 450 million euros in aid to Mongolia.
