Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar has visited France on 8-9 October at the invitation of Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Yves Le Drian. During the visit, he held meetings with Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian, Deputy Director-General of UNESCO, and First Vice-President of the Île-de-France Regional Council, Jérôme Chartier.

At the meeting with Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian, the two sides exchanged views on expanding Mongolia-French relations and cooperation in the political, defence, economic and humanitarian sectors; they also agreed to upgrade bilateral ties and prepare a comprehensive partnership ‘road map’.

Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian noted that the two countries need to increase cooperation in renewable energy, mining and municipal public transport and increase activity in the agriculture sector.

In addition, during the meeting, proposals were made to launch new projects in the cultural sector, especially in the fields of history and archaeology, and to increase the number of Mongolian students coming to study in France.
