Earlier today (28 September), Finance Minister Ch.Khurelbaatar presented to Speaker of Parliament M.Enkhbold the bill of the 2019 State Budget which has been approved by Cabinet.

The budget is set to be presented to the State Great Khural (Mongolian parliament) before 1 October.

In the 2019 Budget, revenue is projected at MNT 9.6 trillion, constituting 27.4 percent of GDP, expenditures MNT 11.5 trillion, or 32.8 percent of GDP, whereas the deficit amounts to MNT -1.9 trillion or 5.4 percent of GDP.

When drafting the bill, the Cabinet focused on budget policy of ‘electronic transparency and efficiency’ for ensuring sustainable economic growth and improving budget expenditures.
