The Ulaanbaatar City Administration has decided to construct a new thermal substation on the land of the Dalandavhar Cemetery. The new ‘Khuchit Shonhor’ substation with a capacity of 20 megawatt is expected to begin operation later this year. Cleaning and moving the graves from the1.5 hectare site is underway.

The new substation will be able to provide electricity and thermo to 20 thousand homes in Bayangol, Sukhbaatar and Chingeltei.
