Mongolia aims to attract more Japanese tourists

A Mongolian delegation led by N.Tserenbat, Minister of Environment and Tourism participated in the opening ceremony of the Jata Tourism Expo Japan on 20 September. The four-day event is being held at Tokyo Big Sight,  Koto. A total of 1400 NGOs and companies from 136 countries as well as from 44 of the 47 prefectures of Japan are attending the travel expo.

Mongolia considers Japan as having huge potential as a source of future tourists. This is demonstrated by the growth in tourist flows: In 2017 no less than 17,888 Japanese travellers visited Mongolia, an increase of 4.5 on the previous year.
