
The Green Party held a special conference yesterday. Party members discussed the controversial departure of former leader D. Enkhbat, who reportedly described party members as “dead souls.” Also discussed was E. Zorigt’s departure from the party. Over 100 members of the party attended the conference. They elected Batbaatar and Maam to jointly lead the party after General Secretary O. Bum-Yalagch announced his resignation. According to newly-adopted rules, the party must have two leaders. Former leader D. Enkhbat left the party to create the Civil Will and Green Party. The Green Party has announced plans to register with the Supreme Court as a new political party.
