A total of 44 Mongolian children have been hospitalised on suspicion of food poisoning at a kindergarten in Shiveegobi Soum in Gobisumber Province. According to Ts.Erdenebat, director of the local Citizen’s Representative Council, the children were taken to hospital on Friday (7 September) with symptoms of diarrhoea, dizziness and vomiting. Three children have been transferred to the Provincial Health Center and seven children are in the local hospital. The remaining children have been received treatment for food poisoning at home.
The kindergarten has been closed and the investigation is underway. Officials from the Provincial Department for Specialized Investigation and the Agricultural Department are examining meat and milk taken from the scene.
