Millions of volunteers in 150 countries in mid- September unite to clean up the world in a single day. Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia is joining the campaign on Saturday for first time. Cleanup Day is co-organized by Ulaanbaatar city department and JCI Congress under the theme ‘We are joining’.
JCI Congress is going to clean the river bank of the Tuul. Ulaanbaatar city administration is planning to clean a total of 2250 tonnes of rubbish over a 80,000 meter square area.
There are numerous organizations that facilitate and host World Cleanup Day events globally. Like Earth Day, World Cleanup Day is non-partisan, apolitical, and is not affiliated with any national or global political party or ideology.
