A delegation led Rasa Ostrauskaite, Co-ordinator of Activities to Address Transnational Threats at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has visited Mongolia from 4-7 September.
During the visit, the OSCE delegation has held meetings with Mongolian authorities from the Foreign Ministry, the General Authority for Border Protection, the Mongolian Customs Administration, the Law Enforcement University of Mongolia and the National Committee on Gender Equality. At the meetings, Mongolian government policies and activities on gender equality were discussed.
The OSCE department for transnational threats has been implementing a project for supporting women’s participation to organizations for border safety since 2016.
Mongolia became the youngest member of OSCE after joining in November, 2012.
