Today, (5 September), is a cold and rainy day on the streets of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. According to metrological reports, a sharp temperature decrease is expected nationwide over the coming two days.
Last night, snow fell in the western Mongolian provinces of Bayan-Ulgii, Uvs and Zavkhan.
In the Darkhad Depression and the mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentii, and in the basins of Khuren Belcher, Ider and Tes rivers, the temperature will be 6 to 11 degrees; in the southern parts of Gobi region, the temperature will be relatively warmer – between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius.
