In accordance with a decree of the President of Mongolia, Kh.Battulga, former Russian goalkeeper Vladislav Aleksandrovich Tretiak has been awarded the Medal of Friendship.  Chief of Staff of the President’s Office, Z.Enkhbold presented the medal to him on 4 September. The medal was awarded to Vladislav Aleksandrovich Tretiak for his contributions to broadening and developing bilateral cooperation between Russia and Mongolia, especially in ice-hockey.

Vladislav Tretiak, a member of Russian Duma (parliament) started his visit to Mongolia on Tuesday.

Tretiak was three time Olympics champion and silver medalist, ten times World Champion as well as Russian team goalkeeper in the NHL Challenge Cup and the Canadian Cup.
