At least four miners have died after inhaling carbon dioxide inside a coal mine in the Nalaikh District of Ulaanbaatar. The Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency received a call at 8.25 p.m. on 1 September. According to one source, the miners were last seen at 1.00 p.m. the previous day.
The bodies of the miners, aged between 14-20 years old, were pulled 11 meters from the mine. The incident took place in Nalaikh coal mine, located some 40 km away from the Mongolian capital.
