Earlier today (31 August), the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences held its opening ceremony for the 2018-2019 academic year. During the opening ceremony, some of the teachers caused a disturbance by protesting against the newly-appointed MNUMS director J.Tsolmon. The teachers raised placards with slogans demanding the resignation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports as well as protesting against the political appointments of the ruling party.

Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Ts.Tsogzolmaa decided to replace G.Batbaatar with J.Tsolmon as director of  MNUMS just before Naadam Festival in early July.
