The Mongolian Ministry of Health has introduced a national programme to provide free dental check-ups and treatment for Mongolian children aged between 2 and12.
‘Tooth decay is the most prevalent chronic disease among Mongolian children,’ said the ministry in a statement, quoting worrying numbers.
The statement shows that 80-90 percent of Mongolian children aged between 2-12 suffer from tooth decay, forcing the government to start a national ‘Healthy Teeth and Healthy Children’ programme to address the problem.
