Mongolia and Qatar are marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year. Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, Foreign Minister of Qatar is currently visiting Ulaanbaatar for attending the Asian Ministerial Conference of Disaster Risk Reduction, leading a delegation from Qatar.

Earlier today, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar received Mr. Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi. At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation areas of mutual interest. Minister D.Tsogtbaatar noted that there are wide potentials to expand Mongolia-Qatar relations on the basis of mutual understanding and partnership.

State Minister Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi highlighted an importance of establishing consultative mechanism between Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Qatar and discussing all directions of cooperation.
