It has been 30 years since Mongolia organised its first beauty contest. After an11 year break, the ‘Beautiful Mongolian Woman’ contest has been held once more. The event took place in Ulaanabaatar on 30 June and was put on by the ‘Khatan Erdene’ Mongolian Women’s Union.

E.Enkhriimaa from Orkhon province won a 999 carat silver crown with a cash prize of MNT 20 million (USD 8183). The 21 year-old, who studies at the Mongolian University of Finance and Economics, speaks  Russian and English languages fluently.

This beauty contest is different from others focusing on education, cultural awareness and talents not only good looks.
