According to the Bank of Mongolia’s currency exchange rates published on 19 June,  the Mongolian tugrik stood at MNT 2426.5 against the US dollar. When compared to the exchange rate in March, the US dollar has risen by 33 MNT.

The bank sets and announces official foreign currency exchange rates each day. Financial analysts say that the USD appreciation in Mongolia is a direct result of the USD rise against China’s yuan.​ Therefore, as trade tensions mount between Washington and Beijing, we can expect further fluctuations of the tugrik.
