A total of 120 boxers from 12 countries including Russia, China, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, India, Iran, Sri-Lanka, North and South Korea are competing in the Ulaanbaatar Cup-2018. The 29th international boxing tournament is being held in the National Circus of Mongolia on 20-26 June. More boxers from Mongolia (40 in four teams) are participating the competition as the right of host country.
This year, Mongolia is marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Boxing Union. It has been 30 years since first the Mongolian boxer, N.Enkhbat, won silver medal in Seoul Olympics Games and 10 years since E.Badar-Uugan took a gold medal in the Beijing Olympics.
