Mongolian health workers staged a sit-down protest outside the Ministry of Labour, Social Welfare on Thursday (21 June) at 08.00 a.m. The protesters have vowed to continue the protest until the acceptance of demands; from tomorrow they will go on strike. They have demanded that Cabinet approves an agreement signed between the Health Workers Union and Ministry of Health in May. The agreement will help to increase the number of nurses, safety and welfare of workers as well as to raise monthly salaries.
If their demands are not meet, they will fight for the resignation of the minister.
