A student from the 52nd school of Ulaanbaatar has missed the General Entrance Exam because of an unexpected traffic jam on the Yarmag Bridge road earlier today. The traffic jam which lasted for two hours had been caused by an accident.
Students across the country take the Mongolian Language and Social Knowledge Exams on 19 June.
Mongolia’s General Entrance Exam are being held from 16-20 June. Over 40,000 young people have registered for the GEE this year: 23 of whom are disabled. The results of the exams will be announced on 1 July. Passing the General Entrance Exam is required for any student wishing to go to university or college.
The unfortunate student was told that it would be impossible to take the exam again.
