The Northeast Asian Mayors’ Forum entered its second day at the ASEM Villa in Ulaanbaatar on 19 June.  The event is being organised for the third year by the Governor of the Capital  and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar. At the meeting, Mayor S.Batbold proposed to establish a Department of Secretaries and to select the host city for organising the next forum in 2020.

Representatives including 18 mayors, decision-makers from six countries and 300 delegates from international organisations are currently holding discussions on the theme of ‘Low Carbon City Development: Improving air quality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions’.

On the first day of the forum, sub-meetings were held on ‘Guidelines for Green City Development’ and ’Technology solutions for low carbon cities and best practice’.
