H.E. Philip Malone, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia has underlined that the two countries have much potential to broaden cooperation in a range of areas including the cashmere industry.  Ambassador Malone said he is willing to cooperate in the cashmere industry in collaboration with the Sustainable Fibre Alliance, funded by the British Government. The ambassador met B.Batzorig, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry yesterday (6 May).

From his side, B.Batzorig emphasized that his ministry is attaching special attention to expanding and developing ties between the two countries in fields of food, agriculture and light industry.  The parties agreed to cooperate in formulation of joint program to train personnel and introduce advanced technologies in Mongolia and get acquainted with development and practice of light industry in Great Britain on the spot.
