International teams of BMW GS riders are competing in the Mongolian steppe for the fourth day and have pitched tents in the middle of the desert at Tsogt-Ovoo. BMW announced the final standings for the day, and while everyone expected favourites USA and Australia to lead, they were surprisingly beaten by Team China while India is in 15th place. But with only the first day down, there’s still seven more days of riding and special stages.

 International GS Trophy is being held in Mongolia from 3-10 June , 2018. The BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy has the best BMW GS riders from all around the world competing for the coveted prize, riding 2,000 km across Mongolia.

The International GS Trophy isn’t a race but a team competition, pitching the GS-riding teams from around the world against each other in a series of challenges, and not all involve riding. The successful team will be respectful to its machinery and understanding of its teammates.
