An inter-governmental agreement exempting visas for Mongolian passport holders travelling to Uruguay will come into effect from 10 June, 2018. Under the agreement, Mongolian passport holders can travel visa-free to the South American country for up to 30 days.

Currently, Mongolia has agreements with 90 countries that allow reciprocal travel without a visa for both diplomatic and official passport holders. Ordinary passport holders are able to travel to 22 of these countries without visas.
