This dramatic footage shows Hull adventurer Karl Bushby being battered by gale-force winds in Mongolia as he continues his mission to walk an unbroken path around the world.

Former paratrooper Karl, 49, from Sutton, is understood to be just a few weeks away from reaching the Chinese border. His video shows him being sand-blasted as he crosses miles of empty desert, dragging his trailer containing everything he needs to survive the harsh environments lements.Viewers get a sense of Karl’s frustration when a wheel on the trailer, which he has dubbed The Beast, buckles at the start of one day’s trek.

According to his father Keith Bushby, Karl will only be in China for a ‘brief period’ before crossing into Kazakhstan, and then Europe. He says: ‘He must only be a couple of hundred kilometres from the Chinese border now. He’s making good progress, considering the conditions he is facing out there.’

How Hull-born adventurer Karl Bushby intends to walk 7,500 miles with a camel named Kingston. Keith said: ‘Everywhere Karl has gone, the people on the ground have been very welcoming.’ Karl intends to finish his walk in Hull, on a date unknown.
