This year, Mongolia is marking the 2227th anniversary of Statehood, the 812th anniversary of the founding of the Great Mongol Empire and the 97th anniversary of Mongolian People’s Revolution. The Naadam Festival attracts much attention from foreign tourists.
The Mongolian Cabinet has approved MNT 2 billion and 981 million for spending on organising the Naadam Festival. Spending will be allocated from the government’s reserve fund, MNT 390 million from the revenue generated by last year’s Naadam and the remaining MNT 500 million from Ulaanbaatar city budget.
The Naadam Festival Organising Committee has submitted a budget proposal for the festival at MNT 3 billion and 945 million. This year, the budget of National Naadam festival is lower by MNT 60 million compared to the last year’s MNT 3 billion and 40 million.
