Mongolian Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar, has reported the results of his visit to Russia on 16-18 May, during which he discussed various issues with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, including bi-lateral cooperation between two sides and upgrading the strategic partnerships. The two sides discussed increasing trade between Mongolia and Russia and launching a survey on free trade.
On his agenda, D.Tsogtbaatar proposed organising visits by the president and prime minister of Mongolian to Moscow during year. Previously, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh had been planning to visit the Russian Federation on 23-26 May to participate in the annual Saint Petersburg Economic Forum. However, the visit was postponed for reasons unknown. According to a source, Mr U.Khurelsukh has re-scheduled his visit to Russia to July.
