Mongolia’s General Entrance Exam will be held on 16-20 June. The registration for General Entrance Exam (GEE) for the 2018-2019 academic year started on 5 February and concluded on 16 April.

Over 40,000 young people have registered for the GEE: 73.5 percent of them chose to take the mathematics exam. However, fewer students chose the Mongolian history and Russian language exams from previous years.

Under the Mongolian Constitution, the government must provide a 12-year of free general education. At the end of their 12th year, students are required to take the General Entrance Exam if they wish to enter a university. While students choose their exams depending on the area of study of their choice, since 2013, it has become mandatory for every student to take the Mongolian language exam.
