Earlier today (17 May), the newly appointed South Korean ambassador to Mongolia, Jong Jae Nam, presented his credentials to President Kh.Battulga. After the ceremony, President Battulga received Ambassador Jong Jae Nam and discussed relations between Ulaanbaatar and Seoul as well as regional development and security.
At the meeting, Kh.Battulga expressed appreciation for the active collaboration between the citizens of the two countries and the need to further develop trade and economic relations in the future. The president also proposed that the new ambassador should initiate a Mongolian- South Korean Youth Business Committee under the aegis of the leaders of the two countries.
H.E. Jong Jae Nam conveyed the gratitude of South Korean President Moon Jae–in, for the letter of congratulation which Kh.Battulga had sent on the occasion of the historic meeting of the two Korean leaders meeting last month.
Ambassador Jong Jae Nam expressed his pleasure for being appointed to represent his country in Mongolia and for the president’s warm welcome. He promised to work hard in developing relations between Mongolia and South Korea.
