Ch. Saikhanbileg, a member of the Mongolian Parliament, has implemented a project to provide internet access in Ulaanbaatar’s ger districts. Currently every khoroo (or subdistrict) in the Baynzurkh district has free internet access in local government buildings. Over 30 fully-equipped PCs with LCD screens have been installed in each khoroo. Additionally, more than 700 internet modems have been distributed free of charge to households, which will get free internet access for one year, and access for a discounted fee in following years.
