Two truck drivers were killed in separate accidents near Khanbogd soum in Umnugovi aimag on August 19. That’s according to a report issued by Lieutenant Battogtokh, the chief of the local police station. One of the drivers was Mongolian. The other was Chinese. Each was driving a truck carrying coal. Police say it appears that, in both cases, the drivers failed to keep their trucks in the appropriate lane. The accidents are still being investigated by police.
