The News Agency LLC, or News.mn, has donated 20 new children’s hospital beds for the newly build in Bayangol District Children’s Hospital in Ulaanbaatar. These beds will be used when the patient load increases said the hospital’s director, U.Batjargal. This always happens during the winter months, when there are often not enough places for sick children.

The new hospital, capable of treating the 73,000 children up to the age of sixteen from the  Bayangol District, opened its doors in November, 2017. Previously the hospital had been the Seventh Health Centre; following repair and reconstruction it now has  140 beds and ambulatory. Before the hospital opened, the children of  the 15 Khoroos, or divisions, of the  Bayangol District were forced to go to the Songinokhairkhan and Khan-Uul District hospitals for treatment and care.

The News Agency LLC, was founded in 2006 and is the first Mongolian private media company. The company initially grew from the newsroom of the ‘Ardyn Erkh’ daily newspaper, which it used to publish.
