Mongolian chess grandmaster B. Munguntuul has won a silver medal at the 26th Summer Universiade, or World University Games, in Shenzhen, China. She won the medal by defeating Irina Vasilevich of Russia. Several other Mongolian women participated in the chess tournament, including grandmaster T.Batchimeg, D.Yanjindulam, and U. Nyamtuya. Chinese chess player  won the gold medal.
