This year, Mongolia marks the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Child Development Movement. To celebrate the event, 1,700 students from School 97 in Bayanzurkh District of Ulaanbaatar gathered and recited the most famous of all Mongolian poems – ‘My Native Land’ (Minii nutag) by D.Natsagdorj.
Dashdorjiin Natsagdorj (1906 – 1938) was a playwright, poet and writer and one of the founding fathers of modern Mongolian literature. Natsagdorj wrote many classics, including stories for children.
Bayanzurkh, one of the largest districts of the Mongolian capital, has announced 2018 as the Year of Child Development.
