Earlier today, several MPs held a meeting behind closed doors at the State Palace regarding the S.Zorig murder case; this occurred during a session of the Judicial Standing Committee. According to a source, the MPs demanded to hold a hearing over the twenty-year-old murder case.

Previously, G.Erdenebat, Vice-Prosecutor General of the State General Prosecutor’s Office of Mongolia accused Ts.Nyamdorj, Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs for having seen classified top-secret documentation on the S.Zorig case. Last week, Mr. G.Erdenebat participated in C1 Television’s ‘Uncensored Talk’ show.

Currently, G.Erdenebat is leading the working group for investigating the S.Zorig case.

In March, B.Bulgan, better known as the wife of the famous S.Zorig was questioned as a defendant by Mongolia’s General Intelligence Agency. Last year, Ts.Amgalanbaatar, B.Sodnomdarjaa and T.Chimgee were sentenced to 24-25 years imprisonment for brutally murdering S.Zorig on 2 October 1998.
