The Mongolian Meteorology Agency has issued a forecast for strong winds in most parts of the country from 4-6 May. In Mongolia high winds inevitably means blinding dust storms.

The winds are expected to reach speeds of between 18 and 24 meters per second. The agency warned of high winds and rainfall in western and central parts of Mongolia on 7 May.
