Yesterday, May 1 was International Worker’s Day; it was also International Twins’ Day. The latter event was marked in style in Mongolia’s northern Orkhon Province when the a young woman called N.Tserennadmid gave birth to triplets! The healthy babies weighing between 1.8 kg- 2.1 kg are all girls. These are not Tserennadmid’s first children, they already have a sister!
The newly-enlarged family comes from the ‘Ikh Zaluu’ Soum (district) of the province. According to B.Erdenebulgan, chief gynecologist at the Regional Diagnosis and Treatment Centre, this is the second time triplets have been born in the Orkhon Province in two consecutive years.
