Gobi Wolf-2018, an annual international practice disaster response will be held in Khovd Province between 28 May and 8 June. The five-day disaster response exercise and exchange between the government of Mongolia and U.S. Army Pacific focuses on interagency coordination. Mongolia’s National Emergency Management Agency hosts the exercise with support from Mongolia’s armed forces and the US Embassy in Ulaanbaatar. 

Pacific Resilience tests host-nation defence support to civil authorities during disaster situations, the integration of foreign humanitarian assistance, and the strategic communication required to implement emergency-management plans.

The exercise was originally hosted from 2009 to 2012 and was reinstituted in 2015 as part of the Pacific Resilience series of humanitarian assistance/disaster relief exercises hosted by U.S. Army Pacific.
