Earlier today (1 May), the Chingeltei Criminal Court decided to extend the term of imprisonment of former Finance Minister S.Bayartsogt and B.Byambasaikhan, the former director of ‘Erdenes Mongol’ LLC. The pair will stay in prison for another 15 days. However,  B.Ariunsan, former director of General Department of Taxation was released from prison because of sickness and banned from leaving the country.

Former Finance Minister S.Bayartsogt has been accused of an abuse of power and corrupt activity while making the 2009 Oyu Tolgoi Investment Agreement and other documents.
