The Chinese-Mongolian Culture and Education fund awarded scholarships to 38 Mongolian students on Friday.

The ‘Dream Star’ and ‘Future Star’ scholarship programmes of China are meant for secondary school students. Each recipient receives 3,000 yuan (473.32 U.S. dollars).

A competition for the programmes began on 11 March. More than 250 students took part.

The Chinese-Mongolian Culture and Education fund was established in 2014. Since then, 2,347 Mongolian students have been involved in the scholarship programs with 304 receiving scholarships totaling 1.5 million yuan (USD 236,723).
