Four people died on Wednesday after a car plunged into Lake Khuvsgul in northern Mongolia. The tragedy took place at 7.50 pm., near the Khusliin Khad (Wishing Rock) in the Khatgal Soum of Khuvsgul Province. Two males, aged 30 and 15, were rescued by the emergency services. At the time of the accident, the car was travelling from the Khanks Soum to Murun Soum – both in the Khuvsgul Province. The bodies of the victims have been pulled from the car which sank in 15 meters of water,

A total of 34 people including locals, National Emergency Management Agency rescuers and police with five special vehicles worked at the scene.
